  5. Electronic Sensor Technology Extends Contract with Chinese Distributor

NEWBURY PARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Electronic Sensor Technology (EST), a leading provider of innovative homeland security and environmental solutions, announced the extension of its distribution agreement with Beijing R&D Technology for an additional year (2007-2008). Beijing R&D has been EST’s distributor in China since the fourth quarter of 2005 and they have successfully penetrated the Chinese market. Over the past two years, they have sold more than 70 units zNose® instruments principally for the measurement of pollutants in water under the China State EPA directives. Beijing R&D anticipates selling a further 55 units over the next year.  An article appearing in Homeland Security Daily Wire (Vol. 3, No. 160, Friday, 7 September 2007) which discusses China’s efforts concerning it water pollution problem states “one American company benefiting from China’s effort to monitor and prevent water pollution is Newbury park, California-based Electronic Sensor Technology”.
