FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A helium section is incorporated in the system of each type of zNose® odor analyzer, where the collected organic compounds are injected into the helium gas and then pass through a capillary column to get detected. Thus, the testing process of any odor majorly depends on this helium section. The helium section of Model 4200 contains 99.999% (minimum) of helium gas and is capable of carrying around 300 tests per day on one helium charge, reflecting the efficiency and long life of the zNose® Model 4200.

As Model 4200 requires a laptop or computer screen to access the zNose® system, there are some minimum configuration requirements on which the system runs. The odor analyzer model could only run on any version of Microsoft Windows. It does not support other operating systems such as, Linux, Apple, or Ubuntu. The system should have a minimum RAM of 16MB and hard drive of 1GB. The processor required to access the system could be Intel Pentium 100 MHz or any other better processor.
